I’d never spent much time contemplating medieval religious art before. I am struck by the wonderful artistry and craftsmanship by much of the art here. This piece, “The Lamentation”, is a wonderfully expressive piece, one of my favorites of the whole place. I could spend a long time just marveling at the figures and the story that they tell.

Tech note – the figure on the right was a bit overexposed on the cheek and forehead, so I’ve run a gradient filter over the right side in LR to tone it down. As I have seen with the K-5, the K-01’s DNG files are quite elastic.
Another shot at ISO3200.
